A Long Overdue Update

Hello! Yes, I am still here. I wish I had a better reason for the delay, but that’s just life. Truthfully, I was kind of on the fence on if I wanted to still keep this website going. Comics and the internet has gone in so many different directions, so many times, it’s been hard to keep up. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted this site to be?

Children of the Woods was a success. I don’t think it’s wrong to say it’s one of the great accomplishments of my life. In some ways, I wish I enjoyed that time more. My work life was brutal that year, and this might sound dumb, but in a lot of ways I tried to “act like I’ve been there before” so much that I think I kind of convinced myself I had to do that in private too. Don’t get me wrong, I took the time to celebrate the moments. I’ll forever remember the day that contract arrived, and when I finally held the book in my hand. But I wish a took a night to celebrate the journey it took to get there.

This website, in a lot of ways, is the record of everything I ever did to get to that moment. It houses con appearances, creative project, and comics. All of which I’m still very proud of. So, I want this site to be a record and celebration of that journey as well as a place where I can celebrate the things to come.

So we’re going to start posting here more. Starting with Tales of Happenstance #10. I love those characters. I made them at a time where everything in my life sucked and I had no idea how it was going to get better. We have the full issue done and will be updating bi-weekly (probably). I’ll try and hold myself to it. Took the better part of tonight remembering how to do stuff on this site.

I’ll be posting other stuff on here too. Truthfully, I’m not a newsletter guy. But I feel like I have things I want to say and there are some works that deserve to see the light of day. So enjoy the opening page of Tales of Happenstance #10 and we’ll see you in two weeks…probably…almost certain of it.
